Rev. John C. Rankin is President of the Theological Education Institute (TEI),
International. A West
Hartford,
Connecticut native,
he grew up an
agnostic Unitarian
before his
conversion to a
biblical and
evangelical faith as
a 14-year old in
1967.
He
is a graduate of
South Kent School,
Denison University,
Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary
and Harvard Divinity
School, and is
ordained through the
Vineyard Christian
Fellowship. He is
also an alumnus of the Fellowship of Christians in University and Schools (FOCUS), and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF).
John
is founder of the
Mars Hill Forum
series, where the
purpose is to extend
open-ended
hospitality to
people of all
persuasions,
concerning the most
important questions
of the Bible and its
impact on culture
and politics. In
2012, he is starting
a leadership school
for sub-Saharan
Africa, to be
headquartered in
Kampala, Uganda.
John
and his wife Nancy
were married in 1977
and have four grown
children.
His
